Review of Money Monster (2016) by Jocey D — 30 May 2016
George Clooney and Julia Roberts star in a movie directed by Academy Award winner Jodie Foster in what is essentially a hostage movie.
George Clooney plays an arrogant and egotistical financial news TV presenter and when a 'glitch' wipes out $800 million in stock of a tech company that he recommended, an imate stockholder, Kyle Budwell (played by British actor, Jock O'Connell) decides to take matters into his own hands.
Although the Subject Matters may seem heavy, especially in the light of such films as The Big Short, this film doesn't take itself too seriously and there is a lot of fun to be had amongst the tension.
