Review of Mona Lisa Smile (2003) by Matt R — 15 Aug 2008
A rather enlighting film for me even if the story is ficticous, on the life of American women in the 1950s. I'm guessing the costumes and general demeanour of the characters captures the essence of the period.
I like this film for its light-hearted storyline whilst at the same time dealing with a rather serious topic. Showing what women not just in American but all around the world had to deal with at that time.
The acting is a little up and down in places but I don't think it takes anything away from the film itself.
