Note the huge gap between audience and critic ratings. There is going to be no Oscar buzz for this film by any means. However, this movie struck a chord with my wife and I, but more importantly with our two kids.
It shows the significant challenges with regard to parenting and makes clear the hopelessness of trying to exert parental control. Hey, if it can get a non-Christian 50 year-old man like me to tear up at the end, it can't be all bad, can it?
