Xavier dolan has arrived. oh my god was this film magnificent. dolan has really come into his own as a filmmaker and this film is a testament to all the work he's done in his astoundingly young career.
he has reached an equilibrium both in his visual style and as a storyteller, creating a film that is equal parts human, humorous, devastating and ethereal in its unconventional aesthetics. this film is proof that even the simplest stories, in the hands of a master, can be extraordinary.
