Review of Mommy (2015) by Tiago C — 20 Mar 2015
After five amazing feature-length films, I was under the impression that 25-year old writer/director Xavier Dolan would eventually run out of ways to impress and thrill me -- tuns out, he hasn't! Mommy is an unfiltered, unflinching, tight, suffocating masterpiece that's leaps and bounds ahead of any other film I've seen this year and yeah, DOLAN IS 25.
this film tackles issues of suicide, loneliness, depression, and anxiety with such maturity that I sat there, shocked and leaping with joy inside.
