Review of Mommie Dearest (1981) by Barbara D — 14 Feb 2010
Most certainly lives up to the hype of being one of the worst movies of the 1980s.. But I'm more angry with this film than anything else. The decrepit screenplay came from a tell-all book. There are far too many bizarre/irrelevant sequences to count.
Whats most irritating is the fact that had someone stopped to think about making something worthwhile and sensical about Joan Crawford's life( that wasn't derived from a tell all diary) then Faye Dunaway would have been amazing.
She had Crawford in this film.
