The premise is intriguing, but the film lacks character development and even pacing.
Nicolas Cage plays his typical one-note style of late; crazy and maniacal. If you saw "Mandy" he's essentially the same character, only with more lines and less development. The pairing of him and Selma Blair is also highly unbelievable and lacks any chemistry.
While aspects of the plot were interesting, not enough to hold my interest or make me want to revisit this film.
