Review of Molly's Game (2017) by Kevin M — 11 Jan 2018
Aaron Sorkin is at it again. Only this time, he lets the critics know, yes, he can write compelling women. Like The Social Network before it, Molly's Game is a fast-paced, dialogue-heavy film that's divided between an intense litigation battle and the story of how Olympic skier Molly Bloom came to power in the male-dominated world of high-stakes Hollywood poker.
Add in the Russian mafia, the Olympics, and a lot of style, and you have a blockbuster drama. But is it Sorkin's best? No.
