Review of Molly's Game (2017) by Andy S — 14 Jan 2018

I'm a sucka for the "based on a true story" genre, so I enjoyed this much more than I should have. But, aside from my genre fetish it's a really compelling story and very well told. If you don't leave the cinema with a gritty admiration for the lead character then I think there's something seriously missing in you as a human being.

From start to finish, the film had a personality that's hard not to feel drawn towards, not always pretty but a very likeable film. The full 5 stars from me (potentially influenced by my love of the genre, but an outstanding film nonetheless).
