Review of Molly's Game (2017) by Robert R — 28 Jan 2018
It's non-linear structure may prove to be a bit too uneven for some viewers' tastes, but in almost every other regard, "Molly's Game" is the directorial debut Aaron Sorkin - I would imagine - hoped it would be.
It's smart, fast-paced, and chockful of that plucky, mile-a-minute dialogue that made Sorkin the household name he is today. And with the likes of both Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba lending their superior talents to help bring this larger-than-life story to us on the big screen, what you end up with is one of the year's most memorable cinematic feats - and one with a fair amount of meaningful things to say as well.
