Ah Sorkin wrote this? Explains the dialogue then. This kind of "tell all" real story might not be very original but the execution counts and Molly's Game entertained. Though if the film wanted me to feel sorry for Molly it didn't succeed on that front, she made her own choices, tears don't take that fact away.
