The special effects are so distracting and terrible that this film loses many points in my book. Many of Ford's movies unfortunately feel this way these days. And I'm simply not much of a Gable fan.
A Gardner fan! A GRACE KELLY FAN!!! But don't think much of Gable sweeping either of these mega-starlots off their feet. Hoped for much more and perhaps that was the problem. So especially after seeing something like "Out of Africa," this is disappointing.
