Review of Modern Times (1936) by Appu B — 12 Apr 2010
I'm not sure if Modern Times is a highly over-rated film of Chaplin. The film is interesting for the opening half and turns out be repeating the same gags in the later half. The film does feature one really brilliant set, a beautiful looking actress and Charlie Chaplin.
The opening which included the introduction of the machine was quite thought provoking but it was quite sad as the film began to fall flat in progress.
