Review of Modern Times (1936) by Jezreel C — 15 Nov 2012
A tramp made irrelevant by progress, a gamine left to fend for herself in harsh and cruel times, and a story that reminds us that even though life may be hard, we must always look forward for tomorrow.
The aforementioned elements when blended together, gives the film a deep connection to the human experience, impacting the viewer in such a way that one comes to a realization that words are not necessary, a concept lost in contemporary cinema.
