A mixed bag for me. Visually stunning. Musically slightly bland. Narratively a very familiar (edging on tired) blend of Disney tropes. It comes across as a desire to respectfully honour Polynesian myths but in reality can occasionally be slightly ludicrous, as well as formulaic.
It's just okay. A nice enough environment to spend 90 minutes in but nothing spectacular. Also, they should have used more Maui accents and featured the pig more. ð~.
