Review of Moana (2016) by Albert H — 28 Mar 2018
Polynesian adventure that takes something from all Disney classics but is able to innovate through characters, particularly the villain. Moana is reminiscent of the environmentalist soul of Ghibli Studio, with its interest in popular Asian mythology and natural spirits.
Music is awesome and the moral about the importance of taking responsibility is anything but stale. The only real weakness of the movie is a certain repetitiveness in the middle part, but the breathtaking of the scenarios makes it equally enjoyable.
Ultimately, a fun and emotional film, visually stunning, which fills the heart and makes eyes bright. Super recommended.
