Review of Moana (2016) by Casually — 11 Mar 2017
Beautiful and intelligent animation from Disney with a princess for the modern era steeped in a historic culture. Inspiring and conscious of bestowing important moral messages. Its one drawback being the underlying reliance on a storyline formula that has been seen time and again.
This doesn't take away from the surprising laughs and moments of reflection that will affect all ages. It's also refreshing to see a female protagonist not have to find romance to solve her happiness and save the world.
