Review of Moana (2016) by Daniel17 — 17 Apr 2017
Moana isn't as good as Zootopia, but it's a true love letter to the Pacific Islands. It's a highly enjoyable film. Despite the slow beginning and all the other characters besides Moana & Maui lacking any screen time, It offers an original story that takes the Disney formula into a whole new level, fun action scenes, great humour, stunning animation, loveable characters, great voice acting and memorable songs.
If anybody who have supported John Musker and Ron Clements who had directed past Disney films before like The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and The Princess and the Frog, if you really wanted an animated musical to be set in Polynesia, and if you loved modern Disney animated musicals like Tangled and Frozen, you should go and check this movie out.
9 out of 10.
