Review of Mitchell (1975) by Kevin D — 30 Apr 2008
Well, this is no Final Justice, I have to say. It was something more like Initial Justice.
On that note, I must warn you that this movie would be better if:
A) Joe Don Baker were heavier (he really doesn't look out of shape or anything here, I scarcely recognize the man).
B) he cautioned a Maltese cab driver to drive on the other side of the road.
And c) he had a deputy who got shot by gangsters and, dying, slides down a wall twice.
BUT there is a wretched theme song in which he is serenaded by Hoyt Axton, which is not at all homoerotic, even if you're predisposed to liking that sort of thing.
