Review of Mississippi Masala (1991) by Bernadette H — 28 Apr 2007
One of the most interesting movies i've seen. It discusses race from another point of view that wasn't really known to me. Mira Nair talks about race issues between Indians and Blacks when they are more often from the same place.
the plot is excellent. What was most admirable in this movie is the writer/director's ability to merge three cultures (Uganda, india, Southern USA) into an enchanting love story.
