Review of Mississippi Grind (2015) by Ryan B — 07 Oct 2015
Highly entertaining character study wrapped in a road movie. Ben Mendelsohn continues to impress and Ryan Reynolds is his adequate foil in this throwback to the kind of films that were made in the 1970s but have become all but extinct today: a meandering narrative that favors unpredictable character exploits and a firmly ensconced sense of place.
This is a great film that like a good bottle of Woodbridge, will only get better with age.
