Review of Mississippi Burning (1988) by Bil A — 17 Oct 2007
It's very entertaining despite the fact, like most historically based films by Alan Parker, it skewers facts in favour of dramatic power. Which isn't NECESSARILY a bad thing in all cases, but making two white FBI guys the heroes of a civil rights story might make heads turn a little.
Good stuff though. Make SURE you watch FREEDOM ON MY MIND, a documentary about that period that includes information about this case.
