Review of Mississippi Burning (1988) by Michael D — 05 Jan 2008
This movie is depressing and overviolent and rushes the end. First of all the movie had many miscasts especially Dafoe who is a good actor but was horrible. Hackman did his best but did not deserve a nomination and his character had no stance on the issue of racism.
I didn't know if he was a racist or wasn't. I didn't get his point. They made the FBI out to be a bunch of heroes but come on, the fbi didn't even employ blacks back then so who is kidding who.
Depressing and had no point.
