A surprisingly demure role for Willem Dafoe as an FBI agent investigating the disappearance of three civil rights workers in 1964. Absolute stellar performances from Dafoe and Gene Hackman as agents dealing with the KKK and the good ole boys of the small Mississippi town.
Based on real historical facts, one of the better docudramas about this period. Alan Parker does a masterful job reigning in this story.
