Review of Mississippi Burning (1988) by Guy L — 30 Mar 2013
Far too easy, far too corrupt, far too cliched, nowhere near as compelling and complex as the real story. Hackman, however, is superb, as is Brad Dourif in a role requiring him to be dull and stupid -- more difficult than it sounds.
Their scene in the barber shop is a cathartic delight, despite the triteness.
