Top 10 film...Alan Parker (underated British director) grabs you very strongly & emotionally into realising how sick and endemic racism is (as frighteningly parodied by the covert Klu Klux Clan characters and red-necks who genuinely believe that 'colour' matters!).
It moves at fast pace and Hackman & Defoe are perfectly matched as bad cop/good cop FBI style. This is based on real events and (scarily) on ideologies that still exist in (s0-called) Christian belts of America! Maybe Hitler wasn't alone! See it - it will set you on fire!
