Review of Mission to Mars (2000) by Tero H — 29 Aug 2008
A Mars-mission gone bad becomes a discovery of epic proportion in this space-adventure. I had seen the movie twice and liked it more when I watched it again.
The acting performances are great and the inspirational ending is fascinating and somehow reminded me of an episode of the twilight zone-tv series. Special effects are marvellous. The movie is well directed, by which I mean that the movie has no boring scenes and it moves seamlessly and keeps the viewer excited about what happens next.
Offering another perspective both to the origin of life on the planet Earth and to the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence, this science-fiction movie is one of my favorites. Recommended.
