Review of Mission to Mars (2000) by Alaine B — 19 Sep 2008
Despite a slow-moving pace and a horrendous score, the movie was visually impressive with a great cast. Robbins, Cheadle and Sinise are all top notch, and I still find Jerry O'Connell amusing. The premise was engaging, and although similar in theme to 2001: A Space Odyssey, it's much more accessible, with more character development, and has a slightly different point of view.
