Review of Mission to Mars (2000) by Branden D — 08 Jun 2010
I will never be able to describe how much I love this film. It's absolutely beautiful and a very memorable film. It tells a captivating story with depth and emotion. Mission to Mars is a science fiction film that has receieved many mixed reviews.
Some people love it while others hate it. I am one who absolutely loves it. It's an engaging film with wonderful performances. Gary Sinise and Tim Robbins lead the film and they are of course brilliant.
Don Cheadle is superb in a very strong supporting role, Connie Nielsen is beautiful and stands her ground well among the strong male cast, and Jerry O'Connell is a delight to watch whose witty humor and brilliant comic timing brighten up the film.
I also liked Peter Outerbridge in his small role. I thought he did a good job with his characters accent and he was engaging while on screen. Brian De Palma is one of the greatest directors in cinema and this film is further proof of that.
Mission to Mars is a sci-fi masterpiece. Classic science fiction cinema.
