Review of Mission to Mars (2000) by Augusto H — 20 Dec 2007

I really cannot believe how this movie was panned when it first came out in 2000. It really saddens me that film culture has been eroded to such an extent that such a visually stunning and moving film is not appreciated the way it should be! The cinematography is incredible, the editing is smooth as silk and the score is perfect (to be expected from Ennio Morricone).

And for all you idiots out there (which you inevitably are if you dont appreciate this beautiful film) the story makes perfect sense if you have studied any science at all. YOU MUST WATCH THIS MOVIE, and then go back and re-educate yourself in terms of films so that you don't make the same mistakes again.

Oh and if you dont like the strightforward sentimentality here have this spoon and carve your heart out, you heartless cynic!
