Even as a young one when I saw this film in theaters, I could tell that something was off about this movie. Now, I can look back and recognize exactly what it is: subpar filmmaking. Everything about this movie is paced so predictably and presented so melodramatically, I seriously wonder if the writers didn't simply pull stock plotpoints from a pre-approved filing cabinet full of cliches and suture them together.
