Just like it's predecessor it's predictable, you know what you are about to see, but the film is more entertaining than the 3rd and the 4th films in the series. It outdoes the 4th film by all means because it not only provides action and stunts, but also has a bit of sense in it and it's well directed, better than Brad Bird's direction. Tom Cruise, although visibly aged, still is very very impressive in this film. Simon Pegg gets a better opportunity as an actor in this film and Rebecca Ferguson is far far better than 4th film's Paula Patton or 3rd film's Michelle Monaughan. Unlike it's predecessor, it has a villain with some identity and is definitely the best villain since the second film although the same in here cannot match the excellence of Jon Voight in MI or the villain in the 2nd film.
