Review of Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015) by Andy B — 05 Feb 2016
My best summary of this was "meh". It didn't live up to the title of having a truly impossible mission outside of about a 20 minute section of the film that happened early enough and quick enough it never had any real suspense.
Most of the movie felt pretty formulaic to me. The characters were all just so-so, the plot itself was decent enough, it kept my interest for the most part. This had more pure action than actual suspense, more like the 2nd MI which was widely thought to be the worst.
I was kinda waiting for the film to wrap up in the last 30 min or so because you could tell this wasn't going to have the typical twists or intrigue of the last few MI's.
