Review of Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015) by Nikolayg — 31 Aug 2015
See it! The series imbues this entry with the flair of a classic old school action thriller. I had to get that out first. I haven't read anyone pointing this out yet. Yes this movie is full of crazy action (with a bit of a nod to Empire Strikes back oddly enough in an climactic scene), but the way the movie is shot, the fact that it actually gives you breathing space now and then for story, the complexity of its plot, the fact that certain scenes especially inside and outside the opera house are very distinctly influenced by Alfred Hitchcock, and the incredible classic old world style of Rebecca Furguson, make this an action film unlike any other this century, and a stand-out unique entry in the Mission Impossible series - for my money the very best of them.
Again.
