Review of Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015) by Dylan M — 10 Jun 2017
Every movie, so far, in this franchise, had something missing from it. The first one had a crazy plot, but no personality, and not many action sequences. The third one boasted emotion and action, but the MacGuffin pretty much ruined it.
The fourth one was almost perfect, if not for the lack of personality within the characters. As for the second one, there's an awful lot wrong with that. This entry, however, has got it all. Christopher McQuarrie has got to be the only screenwriter-turned-director who directed a good film.
This one's got everything: over-the-top action, an intriguing plot, and emotional story lines free for expansion upon. I highly recommend this movie to any action fan.
