Review of Mission: Impossible III (2006) by Petros T — 17 Aug 2015
J.J. Abrams takes over from John Woo in a film dedicated to delivering the modern-action-movie goods big-time. Interestingly, this is easily a much funnier film than the first two: witty one-liners, a certain Simon Pegg making his first appearance in the saga and the bathroom scene, which is pure comedic gold.
But don't get fooled, the focus here is, as always, on big-scale action. And there's still room, unfortunately, for some melodrama. An overall satisfactory continuation of the franchise.
