Review of Mission: Impossible III (2006) by Brendan N — 09 Aug 2015

J.J Abrams was an inspired choice to direct this film, and for the most part it works well. The film was the last filmmaker styled Mission Impossible, after this they have become more action driven. The film works better when the team is working together, and sadly this film drops the support cast towards the later section.

The stunts are one of a kind and Cruise never fails to amaze me. You can notice the film was rushed through pre-production, some of the characters aren't fully rounded and the twists are quite predictable.

This is a more grounded film to MI2 and it works better on that level. I feel the filmmakers didn't watch some of the old tv shows for some guidance, and for the rest of the series we have been wandering from action scene to action scene.

A good movie, but not the ground-breaking sequel everybody was looking for. 19/01/2019.
