Review of Mission: Impossible III (2006) by Jin T — 04 Aug 2015
This one was quite a change from the second one and I was surprised that Ethan Hunt was settling down with a woman not in his career of his spy agency. I thought this was pretty good and actually gotten a little better than the previous.
Which I thought that the third part in a series would always be a let down to most people but this one was the few that became an exception. I also realized that everyone seems to want to mess up Ethan Hunt's life.
It's like he doesn't deserve the happiness he gets. This time we get to see some of the notable directing in this movie by J.J. Abrams. One of them is optical flares. I didn't know he did this back in 2006.
While I'm not pointing out that it's bad but I just thought it's interesting that such element brings out the cinematography of a movie like this. The story breaks what was created previously and continues Ethan Hunt to do another.
.well...mission impossible. While there were a lot of ruse in this movie, it kept guessing and sure, the scenes were quite intense than the ones in the second movie. Maybe I was too immersed in the story of Ethan Hunt and his hard endearing life that is being a spy agent but the fact of the matter is, he is still not to be the one to be trifle with.
Especially messing with the one who he finally is the love of his life. Michelle Monaghan did surprisingly well, especially towards the end. Maggie Q is always treat for me whenever I see her. I honestly did not know she was in this movie until she appeared.
Of course Phillip Seymour Hoffman was the best villain as of yet and he did an awesome job in this movie. Overall, I thought this third movie was pretty good and even there were flaws and I know I've said this before in other movies, they aren't really too much of a bother.
This is yet another entertaining Mission: Impossible movie.
