Review of Mission: Impossible II (2000) by Kurt L — 12 Jul 2015
Does anyone remember that Sir Athony Hopkins was in this movie? Me neither. Easily the worst installment in the franchise, MI:2 starts off with a sizzle and ends with a fizzle. Fo shizzle. Sure all the mask play is entertaining but I was never a fan of the villain (Dougray Scott) and the supporting cast in general leaves much to be desired.
You've still got to be impressed with the stunts Tom Cruise does though in this movie especially that free climbing scene to kick things off. Dude must be fearless. And whatever happened to John Woo? This was really the last movie he made of any importance.
Dude sure loves scenes with slow-motion birds flying.
