Review of Mission: Impossible II (2000) by Alex B — 14 Mar 2011
This has everything a John Woo film needs: over the top unrealistic action, ominous music during a shootout, birds, slow motion, birds in slow motion etc. It is better than the first because they got an action director to make an action movie.
The story is just out there enough to make it one of those movies you don't take too seriously but grounded enough to keep you interested. The only thing that I just can't get on board with is the complete change in Hunt's personality from the first one.
