Review of Mission: Impossible II (2000) by Kevin V — 02 Sep 2011
This is probably the worst of the Mission: Impossible movies, though that isn't saying too much.
John Woo is the director behind this goofy overly stylized action movie.
The biggest problem with the movie was the over use of characters using masks to look like other characters.
As well John Woo's style of kung fu action mixed with slow-mo action sequences did not suit the movie it should be.
There was also a few scenes with doves and pidgeons that John Woo always loves doing.
Thandie Newton is always beautiful and she carried her weight in this movie and it had a good supporting cast with Ving Rhames, Dougray Scott and Anthony Hopkins.
