Review of Mission: Impossible II (2000) by Nick L — 10 Aug 2012
Mission Impossible 2 is the sequel to the financially successful late 90's spy movie, Mission Impossible. Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt and famous action director John Woo steps in as director for this film.
While it does produce many great action scenes, the acting and unrealisticness of some of the scenes brings this movie down. Especially Dougray Scott's portrayal of the main villain, Sean Ambrose, which is completely dumb and annoying.
And just because Silence of the Lambs could make using Anthony Hopkins in only a couple of scenes a good thing doesn't mean it will work for others! Overall, a decent movie, but one you should think twice before watching.
