Review of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011) by Savannahrummel — 24 Dec 2011
The plot is lack-luster, though with a couple nice twists that lend it some creativity, but the action is some of the greatest action of any movie. The action sequences are completely unrealistic, yet so well-done, thrilling, and, to be honest, totally awesome that the plot doesn't need to be good.
From the very first scene, Brad Bird grips you tight and doesn't let go until the credits start to roll. Just as James Cameron's Avatar was the new standard for top-notch special effects, Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol is the new standard for top-notch action.
It was well worth the 12 dollars to see it and watching it was a truly enjoyable thrill ride.
