Review of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011) by Alec E — 15 Feb 2013
Director Brad Bird gives it his all in this thrilling and action-packed fourth entry in the Mission Impossible series that also marks his first live action feature after the critical and commercial successes of his animated features, namely The Incredibles and Ratatouille.
Tom Cruise is still at the top of his game, returning as IMF agent Ethan Hunt, who this time must team up with a group of new IMF agents including Agent Jane Carter (Patton), tech expert Agent Benji Dunn (Pegg), and an IMF chief analyst named William Brandt (Renner) who seems to know all about Hunt's past. Together, they must take on a Russian extremist, who plans to ignite another new nuclear war between the US and Russia.
The action has never been better, the stunts have never been harder, and the locations have never been this exotic. All these ingredients make Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol a great action flick and the best in the series so far!
