Another damn franchise I got sucked into out of sheer nothingness to see in theaters. Watched this before seeing the new one just to bring me up to speed, and ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Brad Bird elevates the formulaic material, and Tom Cruise is really good at being all Tom Cruise-y.
