Review of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011) by Adam S — 19 Jan 2014
The "Mission: Impossible" franchise delivered it's best film yet with "Ghost Protocol", the 4th in the film series. Tom Cruise once again returns as Ethan Hunt, with Simon Pegg also returning, and the new stars including Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Lea Seydoux and Tom Wilkinson.
It's still not on the level as some recent action films - the Damon "Bourne" trilogy, "Skyfall", "Casino Royale", etc - it is too reliant on fancy gadgets to move the story along - but for a M:I film, you're unlikely to get anything much better than this.
The dialogue is funny, with most of the laughs reserved for Pegg, and Cruise fits into his signature role like a glove.
