Review of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011) by Isaac B — 04 Aug 2015
Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol is a blast and the most entertaining entry into the series so far. The characters are at their best with Ethan Hunt's arc in an interesting place in life. What makes this film so great and better than its predecessors is the major obstacles put in place.
The team has never had fewer resources leaving the stakes higher and our seats being gripped even harder. There are several shots, specifically the Dubai scene that are simply breathtaking. The Mission: Impossible franchise stands against every other franchise by having the stunts feel and look realer, mainly with Tom Cruise to thank.
I have a hunch Rogue Nation will continue this exciting formula but no matter what, it has a very high bar to beat.
