Review of Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018) by Healingtoolbox — 10 Oct 2018
Yes, it's a hoot. The caring James Bond (the other series with serious fatigue in its reason for existing besides making money and the more artful of the two ). One thing I have not seen mentioned in the wonderful craft of this project is the penultimate moment.
Usually these hinge on doing something physical, usually something very specific physical, usually an action. Not the case here. In MI6 the penultimate moment is does the team have faith Ethan can do the impossible--despite the impossible odds.
We never see the penultimate action. It's risky but works beautifully here. Kudos and congrats to all involved.
