Mission Impossible: Fallout is one of the greatest action films in recent memory. What sets this film apart is how well it implements the practical action scenes with a great story. Without a great story, action is meaningless which Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie understand.

Speaking of action, the action that is shown throughout the film is astonishing. There are several sequences that I will never forget and the fact that they aren't fully CGI makes them even better. Knowing that Tom Cruise is actually preforming the stunts himself adds tension and adrenaline to every scene.

This is the first true sequel in the Mission Impossible films and it doesn't disappoint. The storylines that were in Rogue Nation continue and flourish in this film. The movie starts off a bit slow but once it gets going (about 30 minutes in) it never lets up and keeps you invested until the credit roll.

I am so impressed by how this franchise has improved every time since Ghost Protocol and there seems to be no sign of stopping that trend.
