Fantastic action and stunts of course, but I've gotta be honest, I still like the first one the best just barely but this is a VERY close 2nd for me. Like I said, the action and stunts are as grand and ambitious as ever.

However, I was somewhat disappointed there weren't any stealth missions or operations that have become some of the franchises' trademarks as well. On the other hand, the story and stakes in this film are deeper than ever, making it all the more investing, and Cruise, the rest of the cast, and even Henry Cavill all turning in solid performances.

Overall, it undeniably hits one of the highest marks in the franchise yet, but the sheer originality and variety that the first film had to offer remains my favorite, but as far as the sequels go, I'd imagine this might be pretty tough to beat.
